Privacy Policy
We built OYO-View to be simple and private. Here's exactly what we access and why.

The short version: OYO-View only reads files from the Google Drive folder you choose. We never store your files on any server, never share your data, and never modify or delete anything in your Drive.
1. What We Access
OYO-View requests the following permissions from your Google account:
- drive.readonly — To list your Drive folders and stream image/video files from the folder you select for your slideshow.
- email — To display your signed-in email address in the app settings screen so you can confirm which account is connected.
- profile — To retrieve your basic Google profile associated with the signed-in account.
2. How We Use Your Data
Your Google Drive access is used solely to:
- Display a list of your Drive folders so you can select one for display
- Stream image and video files from your chosen folder directly to your FireTV screen
- Show your email address in the app settings so you know which account is active
We do not upload, modify, delete, copy, index, or analyze any of your Google Drive files or their contents.
3. Data Storage
OYO-View stores the following data locally on your FireTV device only:
- Your Google OAuth access token (in the app's private local storage, inaccessible to other apps)
- Your selected Drive folder name and ID
- Your slideshow preferences (interval, shuffle, transition effects, quality, audio settings)
No data is transmitted to any OYO-View server. No data is stored in the cloud by us. No data is shared with any third party.
4. What We Do Not Collect
OYO-View does not collect, transmit, or store:
- Your Google Drive file contents on any external server
- Analytics, usage statistics, or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostic data sent to our servers
- Device identifiers, location data, or advertising IDs
- Any data from minors under 13
5. Third-Party Services
The app communicates directly with the following Google APIs only:
accounts.google.com
Google OAuth 2.0 — authentication only
googleapis.com/drive/v3
Google Drive API — list folders & stream files
googleapis.com/oauth2/v2
Google UserInfo — retrieve email address
oauth2.googleapis.com/token
Token exchange — authorization code flow
Your use of Google services is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
Your access token and preferences are stored locally on your device until you either sign out within the app or uninstall it. Signing out immediately clears all stored tokens from the device's local storage.
7. Children's Privacy
OYO-View is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. If you believe a child has used this app and provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
